About Alex George Pickering

Alex George Pickering is an American screenwriter and producer repped by Citizen Skull Management who has pursued a passion for storytelling all his life. Born in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts, Alex earned a B.A. in English with a writing concentration from Georgetown University and an M.F.A. in Cinema-Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Alex is best known for his writing credits on the DreamWorksTV web series PUSS IN BOOTS and KUNG FU PANDA, HBO-distributed short film FIG (directed by Ryan Coogler) and upcoming Coverfly Red List thriller/horror feature CRATE. He also wrote USC's Fotokem Gold Award-winning film EFRAIN. In addition to his produced credits, he won both Best Drama in the Shore Scripts Feature Contest and the Script Pipeline TV Competition, as well as finalist awards in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, Austin Film Festival, ScreenCraft and more. His frequent writing partner is Matthew Breault.

Along with his writing endeavors, Alex also directs documentaries for organizations like LAUSD and LARAEC, and teaches film production and graphic arts in Los Angeles.
